Asendia is a joint venture between postal operators La Poste (France) and Swiss Post (Switzerland) which brings together logistics experience and smart technologies to support eCommerce businesses to grow internationally.
Strategically located in 17 subsidiaries worldwide, Asendia offers e-PAQ — their specialist range of international packet and parcel services designed for online retailers.
As part of La Poste Groupe, Asendia and DPDgroup have come together to build a premium service level, e-PAQ Elite, powered in Europe by DPD, designed for USA retailers who are expanding into Europe.
As Europe’s largest parcel delivery network, DPDgroup is positioned to provide a flexible and user-friendly service for online merchants and shoppers.
This solution is being offered in the US as part of Asendia USA’s e-PAQ Elite service, the fastest and most comprehensive delivery experience of the Asendia eCommerce range.
With e-PAQ Elite, powered in Europe by DPD, online retailers have access to delivery into the largest European eCommerce markets (France, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, Spain, UK) in 3-5 business days. The solution is fully available and some top eCommerce brands have already been onboarded during the pilot phase.
“This new service is a fantastic opportunity to enlarge the Asendia USA service range. The cooperation between Asendia and DPDgroup will enable US eCommerce companies to seamlessly access the DPD Predict Service from collection in the US to delivery to the overseas recipient,” said Robert DiVincenzo, CEO, Asendia USA. “Our US customers will now be able to offer shoppers a faster service at a cost competitive price point.”
Asendia USA Brings Delivery Experiences Customers Expect
Both Asendia USA and DPDgroup recognize that today’s online shoppers expect rapid delivery with multiple options. Through this partnership, Asendia USA and DPDgroup help online merchants give consumers the customer experience they expect.
DPDgroup’s comprehensive range of services and features are meant to make life easier for both online merchants and shoppers.
Among these are Predict and myDPD, two industry-first digital functionalities designed for consumers. Predict offers shoppers the benefits of advanced notifications, 1-hour window, live-tracking, delivery rescheduling, and sustainability.
myDPD is a portal that consists of a website and an app and offers consignees/shoppers a unique digital experience. With myDPD, shoppers can track parcels live, manage their delivery on any device, keep up to date on every important step of delivery, receive customized messages, find assistance easily, and even rate their delivery experience.
“We’re excited to be offering the e-PAQ Elite Powered in Europe by DPD solution which provides predictability and reliability for consumers in Europe — this is a critical expectation by shoppers as part of the final-mile delivery experience,” added John Walsh, Asendia USA’s VP of Sales for the new solution.
“The DPD Predict functionality gives the recipient flexibility to manage the delivery experience at their convenience. Its goal is a successful, convenient delivery that benefits both the shipper and consignee.”
Asendia USA has more than 260,000 square feet of operational space in its facilities located in New York, Philadelphia, Miami, Chicago, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.
The company is one of the largest international mail consolidators for USPS and maintains long-standing relationships with foreign postal administrations worldwide.
