ChannelAdvisor announces new strategic partnership with eBay

ChannelAdvisor, a cloud-based multichannel platform to list and manage products online, announced a new strategic working partnership with eBay.

Don’t Miss

The company already manages billions of Dollars in annual sales for its eBay clients.

This strategic partnership will jointly implement programs to help grow revenues for eBay and ChannelAdvisor clients.

“We have worked with ChannelAdvisor since their beginning and have always valued them as a trusted and reliable partner for us, as well as our sellers,” said Hal Lawton, eBay Senior Vice President of North America. “We’re excited to strengthen our strategic partnership and we look forward to helping our joint customers grow their businesses and expand their marketplace presence.”

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR CA CLIENTS?

The press release is a bit vague on what specific programs clients should expect to see. In fact, ChannelAdvisor uses the press release to highlight some recent improvements to their platform.

The company recently launched a repricer tool for eBay sellers to gain a competitive advantage over competing listings.

ChannelAdvisor also improved their platform to manage eBay Promoted Listings and eBay’s promotions manager. The company states they were the first to use the Promoted Listings API and helped eBay shape the technical documentation for that feature.

The company has worked with eBay for about 16 years for its clients. So this announcement seems like a placeholder for more “news” to come?

They recently concluded their big 2-Day Catalyst event in Nashville in March. Which would be the most logical place for major announcements.

But they are getting ready to host Catalyst Europe in Manchester, UK on May 16.

ChannelAdvisor Catalyst events are conferences for its clients to learn more how to best use the many tools ChannelAdvisor offers.

eSellerCafe will be attending the Manchester event. We will report back if any new specifics about this eBay partnership is discussed.
