Eddie Garcia Replaces Pete Thompson as eBay Chief Product Officer

Eddie Garcia replaces Pete Thompson as Chief Product Officer at eBay. The company announced the departure of Thompson in an SEC filing on March 22 with an effective date of April 29. This gives only about 11 days for the transition of this important role at eBay.

The reason for Thompson’s departure is unknown and came less than two weeks after participating in the company’s big Investor Day presentation where eBay announced its Digital Wallet and eBay Vault initiatives.
