What they said: “Sellers using eBay Labels will now save even more on Priority Mail labels for packages up to 5 pounds in zones 1 – 4, effective immediately [December 9, 2022].”
What do I need to do to get the extra discount? Nothing. These new discounts apply to all eBay users using eBay Labels to mail their orders.
eBay has already updated its Shipping Calculator with the adjusted rates, and sellers should see the new pricing in eBay Labels now. The company didn’t specify the additional discount, so we assume it’s relatively minor.
What else do I need to know: A number of carrier deadlines for domestic shipments are quickly approaching for packages to arrive before Christmas.
Some international deadlines have passed, but in many cases, express-level international shipping choices are still an option for orders to arrive before December 25. Consult carrier deadlines here for more details.
UK advisory: USPS delivery delays for shipments to the UK are to be expected since the national labor dispute by 115,000 postal workers has intensified with little chance of a resolution before Christmas.
Reportedly, holiday mail and parcels are already piling up at Royal Mail distribution centers. Therefore, we strongly advise eBay sellers no longer promise or expect on-time delivery of any USPS shipment to the UK, except Global Express Guaranteed (GXG).
