The subscription service already offered nearly 27,000 digital assets such as templates, graphics, fonts, textures, patterns, and over 1000 tutorials all for one monthly subscription fee (U.S. $29 per month)
By adding stock photos, Envato completes a major missing piece to the digital assets resource that often required a separate subscription from other services like Adobe or Shutterstock.
HOW CAN STOCK PHOTOS HELP ME?
Most website owners use graphics and stock photos to complement the overall theme and look of a site. Visuals are important factors in maintaining audience attention.
You may need graphics for order taking, phone support, customer service, shipping information or a background. This is where stock photos will come in very handy.
IS THE SELECTION AS GOOD AS ADOBE STOCK OR SHUTTERSTOCK?
The quality of the images is as good as those professional services. You get high resolution images that can easily enlarge or crop to the size you need.
The selection of images is less than either Adobe Stock or Shutterstock. But for most eCommerce retailers, there is plenty of variety.
However, more important, Envato Elements provides thousands of other digital assets and over 1000 DIY tutorials, something Adobe Stock or Shutterstock do not offer in their base plans.
The Envato Elements subscription is a month to month subscription and with a commercial licence to use the assets. You only need to be a member when you actually do updates to your site, which is another plus for small business owners on a tight budget.
