USPS Stamps Another Price Increase

USPS Stamps Price Increases Confirmed For January 2023

We reported back in October how USPS had filed a request with the Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC) for another USPS stamps increase to come into effect in January 2023.

Don’t Miss

We can now confirm that the PRC has accepted the request from USPS meaning that from the 22nd of January 2023, the cost of first-class stamps will increase from 60 cents to 63 cents. This will mark two significant price increases for stamps in just 6 months.

USPS Stamps See 4.2% Price Increase

This latest increase equals a 4.2% price rise which will obviously not be received well by consumers. However, this is all part of Postmaster DeJoys Delivering For America plan as he strives to make the postal service sustainable and profitable within a ten-year period.

We also covered recently how USPS, Ground, Priority Mail, and Express shipping were also all seeing price rises from January 2023.

While it is clear that USPS must do what it takes to get back to profitable ways, this doesn’t make life easier for businesses and members of the public in the midst of a cost-of-living crisis across the nation.

For those who use a lot of USPS stamps, it is worth remembering that Forever Stamps do last forever so it could be worth stocking up before the new prices go active in January if it will be worth it to you or your business.
