In this blog series we are putting the spotlight on solution providers that eCommerce sellers will find useful.

Today we take a look at Crazy Lister, an eBay marketplace listing template tool.  We get to find out more about their story and what they can do for you below.

About Crazy Lister

Crazy Lister was founded by two guys Max and Victor who started selling on eBay back in 2008.

It took them a good 2-3 years before they saw any notable success on the platform.  They were based in Israel and therefore did not have a native marketplace on which they could sell.

Unable to compete on price or speed of delivery they needed to find their competitive advantage and fast.

It was at this moment that Victor bought a GPS device from a Chinese seller.  It was a very amateurish listing and he wasn’t expecting a great deal from the device.

However when the device came Victor was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the item.

“It was when the item arrived in much better quality than I was anticipating that I realised how much the eBay listing description played a part in perception of value…I realised that this could be our competitive edge.” Victor Levitin, CEO – Crazy Lister

Victor & Max started sourcing these GPS devices from China and selling them on eBay with a much better quality listing.

Even though the listing answered all of the necessary questions a customer may ask, they were still receiving numerous questions which were covered in the description.

It was then that Victor realised the power of visual imagery on listings and started creating banners explaining the finer points of the listing and immediately saw messages reduce and conversions increase.

Shortly after that Victor and Max became the largest GPS sellers on 5 eBay sites.

It was then they realised that they could sell what they had made for their own needs as an SaaS product to help other sellers and Crazy Lister was born.

Crazy Lister Today

Crazy Lister has gone from strength to strength and now has 100,000 users globally. One of whom is PayPal.  PayPal utilise Crazy Lister templates on their eBay listings for gift cards.

They provide professionally designed template themes that are drag and drop easy and can be mass uploaded to all of a sellers listings.

Crazy Lister believes that entrepreneurs and business owners are often great at product sourcing and logistics but not so much product listing and optimisation and other IT related tasks.

This is what Crazy Lister is looking to alleviate for business owners across the world.  Right now they have solutions just for the eBay marketplace but in 2018 they are looking to expand to solve problems in other marketplaces too, and become a true multi-channel solution.
