eBay Expands Their Standard Envelope Shipping To More Categories
Earlier this year eBay introduced the eBay standard envelope shipping option, and whilst it was reported there were some issues regarding USPS early on, eBay is now expanding this option to more categories.
eBay is now rolling out this shipping option through eBay labels to postcards, stamps and the coins & paper money categories.

“In January we introduced the eBay standard envelope through eBay Labels for Trading Cards sellers, with trackable shipping on items below 3 ounces for under $1. We’ve expanded the shipping service to Postcards, Stamps, Coins & Paper Money, giving you a more secure way to ship than with a stamp. With tracking integrated into the label, and with automatic tracking uploaded to the order will help you meet the qualifications for Top Rated Seller.

When you sell and ship items in eligible categories that weigh 3 ounces or less, you’ll save up to 70% compared to USPS First-Class Package Service. For example, two vintage postcards inside of a standard A10 sized envelope weighing half an ounce, will cost $0.51 with delivery anywhere in the US.

Envelope dimensions, thickness and weight need to be within specific parameters to ensure cost is under $1. We’ve created a downloadable PDF template here for you to check most sizes and thickness.

- Maximum envelope dimensions: 6.125” x 11.5”
- Maximum thickness of sealed package: .25”
- Maximum weight: 3 oz.
