eBay Open 2022 Seller Conference Agenda – What You Need To Know
eBay released the agenda for next month’s eBay Open seller conference, spanning three half days of training and informational sessions to help eBay sellers grow their business on the marketplace.
After skipping the 2020 event due to the pandemic — and holding last year’s conference being an all-virtual affair — eBay Open in 2022 features online and in-person sessions.
However, the three localized in-person eBay Open Studio events scheduled for the last day of eBay Open on September 23 in New York, Austin, and Los Angeles are all sold out.
While having in-person events is nice, virtual events offer the opportunity for many more sellers to participate in the seller conference.
eBay has packed the three days with training and category sessions that cover a wide range of topics relevant to selling on eBay, regardless of whether you are a novice or an experienced seller.
In addition, there are Keynote sessions, fun activities during some breaks, and seller networking opportunities.
eBay Open 2022 Agenda
Agenda Notes
- All times listed are Eastern Time.
- There are four types of training and informational sessions:
- Keynotes – General Information from eBay execs, leaders, and invited sellers.
- Training Sessions – These are hosted by eBay staff or partners.
- Seller-led Training Sessions – These are hosted by eBay sellers.
- Category Sessions – these are hosted by eBay staff.
- Before, after, and in-between, eBay scheduled some breaks and seller networking sessions. We listed those as well.
- The agenda does not include the eBay Open Studio in-person sessions that occur on Thursday.
- Except for the Keynote sessions (and breaks/networking sessions), all other sessions are presented in groupings, meaning multiple sessions overlap.
- However, most sessions on Thursday are replays (Noted as ‘Replays’) of sessions from Tuesday and Wednesday. This gives sellers an opportunity to pick more of the sessions they are interested in.
- eBay differentiated a bit between fundamental and advanced training sessions (we didn’t), but the descriptions of each session matter more. Clearly, some sessions are targeted to advanced users, while others are better for newer users.
- While there doesn’t appear to be a geographical restriction from where sellers can join eBay Open, the content is designed for US and Canadian sellers. eBay is holding already (Germany Sep 7 & 8) or may plan to hold in the future country-specific eBay Open events in other markets.
- eBay did not say if it will make session replays available after the conclusion of eBay Open. That is something they have done in the past.
If you have not registered for eBay Open, do so now. There is a link at the bottom of this agenda to register. Remember, the event is free!
As an additional incentive to register early (by September 1), registrants will receive an invite to the eBay Open Sneak Peek Event on September 8 where speakers will give a preview of their sessions. This might help you decide on which sessions to pick.
